DSIP (delta sleep-inducing peptide, also called emideltide) is a nonapeptide first isolated in 1977. Supplied as a lyophilized powder for laboratory research use only.
Description
What is DSIP?
DSIP, short for delta sleep-inducing peptide and also called emideltide, is a nonapeptide (CAS 62568-57-4, molecular formula C35H48N10O15, molecular weight 848.81 g/mol).[1] It was first isolated in 1977 from rabbit cerebral venous blood.[2]
Research background
DSIP was initially studied as a candidate sleep-related factor, and early reviews summarized its isolation, characterization and effects reported in animal studies.[1] A 2006 review in the Journal of Neurochemistry concluded that its physiological role remains poorly understood, describing it as “a still unresolved riddle.”[2]
Format and documentation
Atlas Labs Bio supplies DSIP as a white to off-white lyophilized powder in a sealed 5 mg glass vial. Third-party certificates of analysis for Atlas Labs Bio products are published in the COA Library.
Storage: Store at 2-8°C.
